Total trade in goods and services (exports plus imports) between the UK and Libya was £1.5 billion in the four quarters to the end of Q2 2022, an increase of 151.7% or £915 million from the four quarters to the end of Q2 2021. Of this £1.5 billion:

 

  • Total UK exports to Libya amounted to £199 million in the four quarters to the end of Q2 2022 (an increase of 3.6% or £7 million compared to the four quarters to the end of Q2 2021);
  • Total UK imports from Libya amounted to £1.3 billion in the four quarters to the end of Q2 2022 (an increase of 220.9% or £908 million compared to the four quarters to the end of Q2 2021).Libya was the UK’s 75th largest trading partner in the four quarters to the end of Q2 2022 accounting for 0.1% of total UK trade.1
