Hugely productive first day of engagement with the business community in Misrata where the BLBA continues to build the framework for British and Libyan engagement.

Al-Naseem For Food Industries – very constructive meeting with the biggest producer of dairy products in Libya, the conversation covered many topics where British Expertise could be of great assistance, these included

  • Banking sector reforms to assist commercial operators.
  • Capacity building and certification within food testing and legislation to facilitate export
  • Engagement with the financial sector to reduce costs in sectors such as insurance,
  • Power systems to facilitate the continuity of production and,
  • Partnerships with the UK Dairy Industry to develop showcase dairy herd and stock management to facilitate best practise and stock improvements to local partners.

We look forward to further engagements and connecting Al-Naseem to UK partners.

LAMAH Technologies – a technology company that provides solutions and resources to make everyday challenges easier.

An inspiring meeting with an organisation that is engaging with young emerging IT specialists to develop the future generation of Libyan IT experts.

The BLBA met with many students and young practitioners and programmers who were creating innovative and potentially industry leading applications and systems. What was apparent was the desire to engage with the international IT sector to develop systems and solutions and to engage in partnership for mutual benefits.

Young entrepreneurship at its best.
