It was an honour today to meet with Mr Mohamed Taher Issa and have a tour of his hugely impressive factory Al-Jaied Company for Food Industries
In addition to the ambitions and achievements of Al-Jaied we discussed many things including dairy livestock herds, engagement with UK suppliers, his extensive interest in many differing economic sector’s and, most impressively, the great ambitions of the special economic zone, truly inspiring to listen to.
Without any shadow of a doubt, in the not too distant future, this special economic zone will provide multiple opportunities for engagement with the British business community so as to develop its full potential.
The British Libyan Business Association are now planning our next visit to Misrata in the very near future to explore how best to engage with our Misratan members on how the UK can further commercially partner with this hub of commerce and industry.
Not only do we thank Al-Jaied for their hospitality today, we would also like to thank
- Mr, Mahmoud M Sigutri, mayor of MISRATA municipality
- Misrata chamber of commerce Industry, and agriculture
- Libyan, iron and steel company LISCO
- Naseem Company, and
- LAMAH
Please look out for our ‘Misratan opportunity Summary’ which will be released on the BLBA news website very shortly.
