LIBYA IRON AND STEEL INDUSTRY COMMITTED TO COLLABORATING WITH UK COMPANIES ACROSS MULTIPLE AREAS

 Tripoli, Libya – In a bid to strengthen commercial ties and promote international collaboration, the Libya Iron and Steel Industry has announced its commitment to working with British companies across several fronts. The partnership aims to benefit both parties, with the Libyan company seeking to leverage the expertise of UK firms in areas such as automation, production capacity maximisation, implementation of new technology, design, cost efficiency, and reductions.

As part of the partnership, LISCO will explore how UK companies can provide capacity building and management training courses in all management, administrative, and production areas, ensuring that Libya Iron and Steel Industry remains at the forefront of innovation and best practices. The company has also pledged to provide intensive English language training for the technical and management teams to enhance communication and collaboration between the two parties.

TRIPOLI CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND THE BRITISH LIBYAN BUSINESS ASSOCIATION PARTNER TO DEVELOP INTERNATIONAL FOOD TESTING IN LIBYA

In a separate announcement, the Tripoli Chamber of Commerce, industry and the Food and Drink Control Centre (FDCC) have partnered with the British Libyan Business Association (BLBA) to establish a Centre of Excellence for food testing, technology, and standards in Libya. The project, delivered in cooperation with an association member, aims to bolster the food industry in Libya by enhancing quality and safety standards.

 

Both of these projects are significant and demonstrate the desire for UK commercial engagement in Libya and represent a significant step towards promoting international collaboration and fostering stronger ties between Libya and the UK.
